Proposal in the range of $100,000-$150,000 will be consid ered. The source of this funding is the Oregon School-To- W ork Opportunities Implementation Grant. Applications must be submitted by a subregional management team. Service providers that are not affiliated with a subregion, or that cross subregional boundaries, can apply directly to the Region 2 RWQC. The purpose of the RFP is to demonstrate the readiness of service providers to implement School-To-W ork programs and the commitment to effecting fundam ental change in the way education is delivered in the classroom. The RWQC is administering this program to prepare youth as part of Oregon's skilled and adaptable workforce. Invitation To Bid Sealed bids will be received at the office of Barber Barrett Turner Architects P.C., 960 S.W. Disk Dr., Suite A; Bend Oregon 97702 until 7:00 P.M. February 21,1995, for the La Pine Community Campus, and then they will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids received after the date and time above will not be considered. In general, the work consists of approximately 7,000 square feet of a wood framed building with wood wall and roof system, wood siding, and composition roofing. The project includes site development including site utilities and paving, landscaping, and irrigation. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for February 7,1995 at 2:00 P.M. at the La Pine High School conference room in La Pine, OR. Contract Documents may be examined at sites provided by A/E. Bidders may obtain 2 sets of Documents at the Architect’s office upon deposit of check payable to the Architect in the amount of $100.00 for each set. Deposits will be refunded upon return of the Documents in good condition within sixty days of bid opening. All bidders must comply with ORS 279 pertaining to payment of prevailing wage rates. Bids will be considered only if accompanied by a cashiers check or certified check or bid bond (with bonafide surety company as Surety) made payable to Deschutes County in the amount of 10% of the bid amount. No interest will be paid on bid security. Deschutes County reserves the right to reject any and all bids not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding proce dures and Invitation to Bid requirements and may reject for good cause any and all bids upon finding that it is in the best public interest to do so. District centers function as single entry access points for service to older people, provide case management and information/referral to clients and act as leaders in planning, coordination, and information/referral to clients and act as leaders in planning, coordination, and program development on behalf of elderly persons. Multnomah County currently contracts for eight centers. District centers are located in each of the following areas of Multnomah County: north, near northeast, north east, southeast, southwest, northwest, downtown, and east county. A contract for a ninth district and center in the eastern portion of the current east county district will be developed if funds are available. The mid county district and east county district will be subdivisions of the current east county district along the boundary of 162nd Avenue. For the current districts, an agency must meet the following minimum qualifications: must be a current business or orga nization with legal authority to contract and ability to manage a contracted service program; must be currently operating a recognized senior service program; and must not provide direct services to the elderly which would represent a conflict of interest with District Center responsibilities. For the newly established ninth district and center in the eastern portion of the current east county district (east of 162nd Avenue), an agency must be a current business or organization with legal authority to contract and a dem on strated ability to manage a contracted service program. Only agencies which respond to this notice of intent will be permitted to submit proposals for contracts. Agencies may apply for more than one district, but must currently be providing services within the district(s) for which they apply. In districts where only the current provider in good standing responds to this notice of intent, an exemption from the RFP process will be considered.
